i.MX6 dual appearance in JTAG chain

Dear NXP Team,

we like to understand how a i.MX6 dual  normally and correctly appears in the JTAG chain,

I have a customer with the attached list of devices while only two ICs are actually JTAG connected, one Xilinx CPLD and the i.MX6D processor.

3 instances are presumably associated with the i.MX

1. Freescale/Motorola

2. unidentified ??

3. ARM

Please clarify how the i.MX6D SHOULD appear (how many and which instances) and also advise if the use of a foreign third party JTAG tool could be the cause.
In this case: Which JTAG tools are recommended or approved

With regards

Joachim Hofmann

Hi Igor,

thanks, but your Reply did not contain an attachment or a link to a document.

The "Hardware user Guide" for i.MX6D makes no mention of "JTAG chain" in section 7.4 (which talks about IBIS model).

Please include a link or the actual document you are refferring to.

With regards

Joachim
