i.MX6 TRSTB Pulling Low allowed?

Hi,

We are working on a design using a i.MX6Q Processor and a TI C5505 DSP. We need to use boundary scan on both of them but the TI implementation has some weirdness where it requires TRST to be asserted for normal operation.

The i.MX6 datasheets state that TRSTB has an internal pull-up, but as far as we can tell is not required to be in a specific state for normal operation?

Can we pull the i.MX6 TRST low for normal operation of the processor along with the TI device? Or would we need an additional workaround in order to share a TAP? Can NXP recommend what we do here?

Thank you
