Hello !

We bought the Sabre Board for small devices with the QuadCore i.MX6. Now we want to use the CAN Bus. On the PCB, it is marked but no connector is assembled.

Is it possible to mount a 9-pole connector to the board and use the CAN ?  Or is CAN not available on this board ?

Hi,

Yes, CAN is available on this board. The CAN chip is already installed. However, the DB-9 connector was intentionally not installed to reduce the cost of the kit. You may install a DB-9 connector and use CAN. Note that depending on your application, you may need to install the bias resistor and/or capacitor on the CAN_SPLT net.
