i.MX535 QSB jpeg image Errors

hi all,

       I am working in i.mx535qsb board, in that i want to capture the jpeg image format, when i captured the image the header of the image is not coming, for your convenience, i have attached the sample image also, can any one help me,

NOTE:

Camera sensor = ov5640

Board = i.mx535 qsb

Resolution = 1280x720

which JPEG encoder are you using?

i am using jif encoder not jfif

Perhaps the problem is the encoder.  Can you try out other encoder? can you try to encode other format?

Under imx6 platform, I have used GStreamer to capture images, take a look of this document

i tried the command from that document but it shows there is no jpeg enc  in the gstreamer . how can i enable that codec

hi leonardo,

                i have captured the images in jpeg format, the problem is hard ware connection, and do you know the jpeg settings for 5mp resolution or if there any documents kindly share it

Hi shanmugamsundar, I did not get your point. what do you mean by 'hard ware connection'? One the image is encoded? can you decode and display on the board? can you do the same on your host machine?

I am working on iMX 53 and Android 2.3 build,

I need to use the VPU to decode the jpeg image (software decoding works fine but going for VPU decode for better performance)
I had checked the mxc_vpu_test and the config files, there are options for decoding movie formats like MJPG , MPEG etc  in config_dec. But I could not see any options for JPEG decoding ???

So is it possible to use VPU for image file (jpg | bmp | png) decoding efficiently ?
