i.MX50: Change EIM parameters in DCD

Hello champs,

I'd like to boot i.MX502 from NOR Flash.

The RM says that the EIM is setup very slow for CS0 when booting from EIM.

However I'd like it to boot faster then I'd like to change the EIM parameters in DCD.

Can I really override EIM CS0 parameters when booting from CS0?

BTW, I found the following table in RM.

The table says "EIM regsiter set" is mapped in 0x63FDA000 however in the system memory map,

It's assigned in 0x63FD_8000.

0x63FDA000 is typo, the system memory map is correct off course?

you are right, EIM parameters can be changed using DCD,

Table 2-1 gives correct address (63FD_8000).

What will happen  if I change Flash read wait cycle by DCD when booting from the Flash?

Will that change be effective in the next read or write transaction then system continues booting in the Flash?

when booting from parallel NOR, it is not

possible to change EIM parameters on fly.

One can boot from spi-nor, change EIM parameters,

then boot from EIM.

EIM parameters can be changed using DCD

however booting device device should be some

other: for example NAND, spi-nor e.t.c.
