i.MX RT1170 external input clock requirements

I'm designing RT1170 application and planning to use an external oscillator for 24MHz on XTALI instead of a crystal.

Would  you tell me the requirements of external oscillator? Frequency stability (ppm), output load, jitter and etc.

Hi @Eugene3,

As long as the external 24MHz oscillator complies with the description seen in "Table 4. Clocks configurations" of the Hardware Development Guide for the MIMXRT1160/1170 Processor, you will be OK. As you can see, the restrictions mostly depend on whether or not you are using USB and/or Ethernet.
