[i.MX 8MQ] PCIe Wi-Fi card prevent system from wakeup

I use a custom i.MX 8MQ board with M.2 Intel AC3168 card that uses PCIe bus for Wi-Fi functionality and with the kernel of the branch of lf-5.10.y.

The issue is the system can resume from a suspend-to-memory only if I unplugged the AC3168 card from the board. The system cannot resume with the card plugged in even after I unloaded the Intel Wi-Fi driver iwlwifi.

I have noticed that there is a KB article "SW workaround used to fix ERR005723 in Linux BSP" and a patch commit 3e678b4c4b3dc17d1c043e20f6dfdcbb11ea7704 in kernel source tree with the message of "LF-290 PCI: imx: add the pcie pm workaround for imx6qdl" and wondering whether or not the i.MX 8MQ is suffering the same issue without SW workaround implemented?

Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Igor,

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I will investigate more on that topic.

Hi Ray

issue may be specific for that Intel card and one can apply to Intel support for updated driver.

i.MX8MQ is not affected by ERR005723 erratum.

Best regards
