'SABRE Board for Smart Devices Based on the i.The MX 6Quad' circuit diagram reads "2G_DDR3_SDRAM_128MX16" and "MT41K128M16JT" but actually has a DDR3-1GB capacity. I'd like to know why.

It is right , no problem. Yes, in the SABRE Board use DDR3-1GB capacity, for the DDR3 the density is 2Gb, one chip is 2Gb, in the board there are 4 chips, so 2Gb *4=8Gb=1GB. For this DDR3 details information you can see the datasheet of the MT41K128M16JT.

First of all, I'm sorry I'm not good at this. Can you tell me why 2Gb*4=8Gb=1GB?
You can google it.
