it is working fine with nxp official linux releases

i.MX 6 Series Software and Development Tool|NXP 

please check if proper HDMI cable used, check that you use "true"

HDMI or just a HDMI - DVI adapter.
"True" HDMI display with special HDMI cable should be used.
