Have you tried to get help from meego mail list?http://lists.meego.com/listinfo/meego-porting I´m sure they are the best source of information regarding meego. Sorry for not helping you on this task. I really don´t know meego architecture.

You should have iMX53 QSB (quick start board).

My suggestion for you is: start booting up a pure linux image, just like Freescale releases for QSB. When you understand what binaries you need, and how to copy them to SDCard, you can choose which one you will use.

I haven´t worked with Meego images, but I believe you will need to modify (someway) they kernel source code.

Take this document package: https://www.freescale.com/webapp/Download?colCode=IMX53_QSB_1101_LINUXDOCS_BUNDLE&location=null&fpsp...

untar and open it. Go first on doc\mx5\i.MX53_START_Linux_BSP_UserGuide.pdf

To take source code, http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=IMX53QSB&fpsp=1&tab=Design_Tools_Tab#

Once you are able to load a pre-built image you can start working on Meego source code

Are you using which bootloader?

How did you configured kernel?

Please, share the procedure to create SDCard.

Can you share me the link you´ve been using to get started with meego?

What's your hardware board? Generally there should be some switches on the boards to let you be able to configure boot mode. You should find how to jump the switches for booting from a SD card on that board.
