Hi! NXP Engineer
In my design,IMX8M Plus + eMMC(SDINBDG4-8G) is used.
the schematic is refer to NXP development kit.
eMMC’s PS is from PCA9450C.
But, when boot form eMMC,the error is below.
Only one board (others is ok)has error as shown in the following capture.
Even if SoC and eMMC exchange with new parts, the phenomenon still does not disappear.
Pls help to resolute this. Thanks.

Hi Chavira @Chavira
I'm very sorry for the late reply.
the above problem has been solved.
Thank you for support.

Hi! Chavira @Chavira
Thank you for your reply.
Yes, only one board.
In manufacture, check it using an X-Ray,but the connection is normal.
so, I don‘t know how to reserach it.
thanks best regard.
Thank you for contacting NXP support!
Do you only have one board with the failure?
I recommend checking if the Processor is soldered correctly, please check the connections using an X-ray.

In this case, I recommend checking all the voltages, if all the voltages are good, please check all the resistors of the MMC, and for the last task, please check all the signals with an oscilloscope or logic analyzer.
Please compare each signal with a functional board.
Hi! Mr. Chavira @Chavira
Thank you for reply.
1. I have checked all singals with an oscilloscope, but Data Strobe singal always is low level.
I think that the other sigals are coincident. It is strange.
2. 4/21 I have checked PS, all are right.
Just I check PS again, and P1.8D from PCA9450C has became 3.3V.
PCA9450C is damaged?
best regards.
Check the signal SD_VSEL of the PMIC (pin 29)
If the SD_VSEL is ok, you can reconfigure the PMIC configuring the Register "BUCK5CTRL" Please check the details on page 43 of the datasheet.
Power management IC for i.MX 8M application processor family (nxp.com)
Hi! Chavira @Chavira
Thanks for reply.
As datasheet, Buck5(P1.8V) is not related to SD_VSEL.
Load Switch output voltage is decided by SD_VSEL.
I think that the PCA9540C may be demaged.
(this board firmware is the same as the other PCB board )
best regards.
Hi @www1519
I think that PMIC only needs a reconfiguration.
If you think that PMIC is damaged, please replace it with a new one and contact your sales to obtain a warranty.
Best Regards.
