core-image-minimal Yocto for imx53qsb

Hi,

I have built the image for imx53qsb. I tried to run it on the imx53qsb but It seemed to not work. I used an SDCard to load it but it didn't work. even though I tried with some prebuilt images that I found from the next link:

Index of /releases/yocto/yocto-1.6/machines/imx53qsb

I know that for testing this build configuration I have to use the rs232 port even though I do not know the settings for connecting the serial port of my pc to the board.

Could somebody give me an advice or hints that I should check to get this working.

Currently I followed all the instructions given here Freescale Yocto Project main page

  Please check if the demo image is working on Your board.
To prepare SD card image :

$ sudo dd if=core-image-minimal-dev-imx53qsb.sdcard of=/dev/sdb bs=1M

As for host PC configuring, please refer to sections 6.1 (Setup Terminal) and
3.2 (How to Boot From Micro SD Card) of the enclosed "i.MX53_START_Linux_BSP_UserGuide.pdf"
