connect imx6sx boot configuration pins

Hello,

I am designing a custom board based on  imx6sx-sdb .

I am trying to use EIM,  but the pins used for boot cfg  are connected through buffers for boot configuration.    However,   in the imx7d-sdb board,  these pins are used by connecting pull-up/pull-down without buffers.

Is it okay to connect  boot_configuration_pins   only to pull-down/pull-up resistor   in imx6sx like imx7d-sdb

It depends on your need:

If your design does not require dynamic boot configuration and the BOOT_CFG pins are not shared with other critical functions at boot, then using pull-up/pull-down resistors without buffers is acceptable for the i.MX6SX.

However, if you want flexibility or need to isolate the boot logic, using buffers (like in i.MX6SX-SDB) is a safer and more robust design.
