bootload Android OS throught SD card for IMX8M MINI

I have completed all the process . Till the flashing is completed .Inserting the SD card in IMX8M MINI its shows only Penguins and frezze. In minicom it reboots almost 20 times and comes out deleting the .img file

Hi @Ruban1,

 

I test this on my i.MX8MM and In this android version the controller connected to the SD card slot is set to work with Wi-Fi expansion card, in this case, if the dtbo image support Wi-Fi expansion card, then the board will not boot from the SD card

The dts which have this feature is the following:

Also, when you do the deployment to the SD put this command -d mipi-panel it should work.

I forget to say that the command works with UUU in any other case you need to add the device tree to your build from the link I left.

Hi Ruban1,

 

That error is because the UUU tool is not recognize your device, please be sure that you have the switch to boot from serial download and check all the connections, the cable, USB connector, from the PC and from the board.

Hi Ruban1,

 

From the pictures, on the first one, you need to connect the type C port1 to your computer, that port will be used to download the code by serial download into the SD card so please do this.

 

And for the second one, I think the boot switches are not set correctly, please take a look, you have the setup like this:

Switch SW1101 [D1-D10] SW1102 [D1-D10]
MicroSD/SDHC2 0110110010 0001010100

 

But you will need like this:

Switch               SW1101 [D1-D10] SW1102 [D1-D10]

Serial Download

Mode

And then after the serial download is complete you need to change the switches again.

SD card capacity is 32 GB (class 10).

System is 16 GB RAM , 1 TB ROM with Ubuntu 20.04 OS

Completed all the process according to the link you sent me .

System 16 GB RAM, 1 TB ROM

SD card 32 GB (class 10)

build it without any error. checked for both Demo image and manual build image and flashed it to the SD card that is also flashed successfully without error.

Then i insert to the IMX8M MINI EVK board .the booting process is completed and gets in to Kernel process and some issue is created so it jumps to reboot and this process continues multiple times

System is 16 GB RAM , 1 TB ROM with Ubuntu 20.04 OS
