bd71837.h - Previous change reverted intentionally?

Hi,

I am new to the forum, so please bear with me if I skip any rules unknowingly.

I found that this commit uboot-imx - i.MX U-Boot basically reverts the changes done to include/power/bd71837.h by this commit uboot-imx - i.MX U-Boot. But other changes done by the same commit e.g. in drivers/power/pmic/bd71837.c are not reverted. Therefore I believe the result as it is currently in the head of branch imx_v2020.04_5.4.24_2.1.0 does not build in every case.

Could someone please double-check this and elaborate on the partial revert as this is not mentioned in the commit message?

Hello Martin,

I checked u-boot source code in L5.4.24_2.1.0 BSP.

Right, bd71837.h has been changed to support bd71847 chip.

But bd71837.c is not patched.

So if you want to support bd71847, you will have to patch it according to uboot-imx - i.MX U-Boot  .
