add file to boot partition of sdcard image

I am putting together an sdcard image to boot an imx.6ull and automatically program on board nand flash.  I am able to generate an sdcard image that boots and ubifs rootfs.  I have also increase the boot partition size in the sdcard image to make space for a copy of the ubifs.

My question is how can I have yocto automatically include the ubifs rootfs in the boot partition of the sdcard image?
