Hi All ,
I use pre-build image : core-image-sato-sdk-imx6qsabresd-20150303160855.rootfs.sdcard on iMX6QSabreSD. I stop the u - boot and modify mmcargs ( editenv mmcargs ) to add this :
video=mxcfb0:dev=hdmi,1920x1080M@60,if=RGB24
to enable the HDMI video.
After reboot , the Kernel hangs. If I remove the above modification , the board will boot but no HDMI video.
Anyone knows how to fix it ?
P.S. The link for pre-build image is :

Hi All ,
I found this link :
The HDMI cause Kernel hangs. If remove cable it is OK.
Please see this link :
https://bugzilla.yoctoproject.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6703
I remove the HDMI cable and the Kernel boot up OK. After I re-install the HDMI cable I can see the HDMI display.
I think the above link is correct. If the HDMI cable is connected , some how the Kernel will hang.
Rick

Hi Rick
you are right, hanging may be caused by this kernel bug.
Best regards
