Yocto convenience

i see no advantages to use Yocto.
Could you give me some resons or links to elucidate Yocto convenience.

perhaps i need get deeper into Yocto but benefit from it  seems very obscure in real life.

Please check: Is Yocto Project® for You? – Yocto Project 

You can use the rootfs you want, but NXP just support yocto.
