Are there any available board support packages (BSPs) based on yocto specifically developed to enable desktop-image functionality on MYD-JX8MPQ having imx8mplus chipset.

Hello, I hope you are doing well.

We have available a Linux Yocto Project BSP for Desktop PoC (Proof of Concept) available for the next boards:

- i.MX8MP-EVK
- i.MX8MQ-EVK
- i.MX8MM-EVK
- i.MX8MN-EVK
- i.MX8QM-MEK
- i.MX8ULP-EVK
- i.MX8QXP-MEK with silicon revision C0 chip

I suggest check with MYIR Tech if they have something similar.

Best regards.

Hi Jorge7u7,

I built a desktop image and tested it, and it worked fine on the NXP i.MX8MPlus EVK board. Next, I tried the same image on the MYD-JX8MPQ board. The board successfully boots up to a login page, and I can see the GUI. However, when I log in and enter the password, the OS freezes. I couldn't figure out the cause of this odd behavior. I'm aware that there are differences in their hardware designs, so I might need to modify configurations to access external peripherals properly. Nevertheless, considering that both boards have the same chipset, i.MX8MPlus, the OS should be running, right?

I would greatly appreciate it if you could point out what I might be missing or where it went wrong.
