Win10 IoT on customized i.mx8m plus board

Hi:

We are trying to use the Windows IoT solution on the i.mx8mp platform.

1. We have a customized board that runs the Linux Yocto properly
2. We have an NXP i.mx8mp kit, we intsall the Win IoT BSP to it propery.
3. We put the WinIoT BSP to the customized board(uboot + Win 10 IoT core),
while installing with the SD card, it hangs (even not enter to the Win PE).
Check the message from the debug port, it crashes after show some messages
like "ntoskrnl.exe xxx ...."
The messages are mixed with some unknown characters.

==> What should I do for running the Win10 IoT on a customized board?

How about if change the DDR size to 4GB only?

and comparing with NXP's evk,

I got this error message

Hi Chris Chang,
The "ntoskrnl.exe xxx ...." is synchronization message for WinDbg over serial port. This means UEFI was able to load Windows kernel. You will need to do some changes. Possibly the memory (as you mentioned) and check display configuration. You might find some inspiration around the forum.

I hope you're doing well! 

Currently, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise (Windows 10 IoT Enterprise for i.MX Applications Processors | NXP Semiconductors) is only supported for our EVKs. You can find the following list of supported boards on our latest Release Notes for our BSP:

– Supported boards:

• MCIMX8M-EVK Evaluation Kit
• 8MMINILPD4-EVK Evaluation Kit
• 8MNANOLPD4-EVK Evaluation Kit
• 8MPLUSLPD4-EVK Evaluation Kit
• MCIM8QXP-MEK (Silicon Revision C0)
• MCIMX93-EVK (Silicon Revision A0)
