Hi,

May I ask is NXP planning to stop supporting iMX6 in near future with updated Linux kernel?

If there is a plan, where can I get the official information and the detailed schedule.

Sorry maybe someone has already asked this question, but I didn't manage to find it.

The information is quite important for us to make a plan accordingly.

Appriciate a lot if anyone can help.

Thanks

Charlie

Hello Charlie,

Hardware support and availability is planed as mentioned on the NXP Longevity Program:

https://www.nxp.com/products/product-information/product-longevity:PRDCT_LONGEVITY_HM

As for Linux BSP Releases, the i.MX6 is supported on the latest L5.4.3 BSP Release and while there is not a public roadmap based on previous release schedules you should expect the i.MX6 to be supported at least for another Kernel LTS BSP release. For more details I would need to ask you to please contact your NXP FAE or NXP Distributor.

MY apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards,
