Why meta-freescale disables v4l in OpenCV

Hi,

I am using zeus branch of https://github.com/Freescale/meta-freescale and I am trying to build OpenCV with V4L2 support for i.MX 8M Mini. However the meta-freescale permanently disables the v4l in OpenCV bbappend: dynamic-layers/openembedded-layer/recipes-support/opencv/opencv_4.%.bbappend

Why? Why meta-freescale disallows to use v4l with OpenCV?
