Why BRILLO has been added in audio hal of IMX6 N?

I check source code of audio hal ,and there is flag be add in Android N .

1.Why the flag be added?

2.what is the use case?

3.Does there is side effect if we disable BROLLO.

   BRILLO option relates to Android Things and should not be used with i.MX6 Android N.

The flag is related to Android thing,but the flag is enable in i.MX6 android N .
