Hi, all

SD/MMC manufacture mode is required to be implemented in my customized board which is based on iMX6UL. With RM, the signal SD1_CD_B can come from pad CSI_DATA05 (ALT8) or GPIO1_IO03 (ALT4) or UART1_RTS_B (ALT2). Please let me know which pin should be used as SD1_CD_B so that BOOT ROM can recognize the SD card on uSDHC1 interface. Thanks!

Hi,

The SD card is not detected in our board after power up. In our schematics, we have assigned the SD_CD pin to No Connect. We use the micro controller MCIMX7D7DVM10SC

But when we go in detail through the user manual its written, for embedded memory it should be tied to ground if not used. Will this cause an issue?

Kindly share your thoughts in this regard!!!!

Thanks,
Regards,

Hello,

  From the i.MX7 DataSheet(s) : “uSDHC1 and uSDHC2 are primarily
intended to serve as external slots or interfaces to on-board SDIO devices.
These ports are equipped with “Card detection” and “Write Protection” pads .. ”.

So, when using uSDHC1 and uSDHC2 for external slots with “Card

detection” signal, this signal should be grounded, if not used.

Note, it is needed to have “Card detection” signal for SD boot (for uSDHC1
and uSDHC2, intended for external slots).

Regards,

Yuri.
