Hello,

The i.MX8QM reference manual sometimes says to see  the chip configuration. However, there is no chip configuration in either the reference manual or the datasheet. Where is the chip configuration shown?
I am now interested in the relationship between the temperature sensor and the ADC in the chip.

Hello Joanxie-san,

Thanks for quick reply.

According to your documentation, the ADC only reads two temperature sensors.

Linux thermal management monitors five: the A53 and A72 cores, the two GPU temperatures, and the PMIC temperature. The PMIC temperature is probably read from the PMIC via some interface. The remaining four are the temperatures within the i.MX8.

The temperatures within the i.MX8 would be read out to which register? Not this ADC register?

I am not going to read the temperatures directly from the registers in my application. I ask this question to know how the hardware works.

Hello joanxie-san,

I see that the temperature was monitored by SCU. Thanks for letting me know.
That's all I have to ask. I will close the case.
