Hi,
I am working on the M.2 SDIO interface on the MCIMX8M-EVK board. We found that the resistors for M.2 SDIO interface are not mounted.
There are 8 resistors(from R1429 to R1436) based on the schematic. These resistors are marked (DNP, do not place) on the schematic(see attachment). From the board I can only find two R1430 and R1434. Where is the rest?
In order to pass the signal to M.2 adaptor board, we need to mount these.
Thanks,
Gary
Solved! Go to Solution.
Look into the attched board layout from the A1 board version (sorry, I just have this version currently available as PDF), using the search function of a PDF reader you should be able to find the resistor locations.
With this link
you should be able to download the design files for the 8M-EVK-B3 and check by yourself

Install Allegro/OrCAD/SIP/MCM FREE Physical Viewers 17.2:
https://www.cadence.com/content/cadence-www/global/en_US/home/tools/allegro-downloads-start.html
Load and unpack design files for the i.MX 8M Evaluation Kit (EVK)(REV 0):
https://www.nxp.com/webapp/Download?colCode=MCIMX8M-EVK-DESIGNFILES&appType=license
Open the LAY-29615_B2.brd using AllegroFREE Physical Viewers 17.2.
Enable Display/Highlight and Display/Element. See Clipboard02 and Clipboard04 files in the attachment.
Set Visibility - Top.
Use Find to detect component location (origin-xy). See Clipboard06.jpg file.
This component is highlighted. See Clipboard08.jpg file.
Note: R1436 is located on the Bottom.
Have a great day,
