Hi community,

Our patner have a question about i.MX6DQ VDD_SNVS_IN.

Please see footnote 2 of Table 8 in IMX6DQCEC.

According to this footnote, we understand i.MX6DQ VDD_SNVS_IN consume 1mA only when i.MX6DQ power-up and power supply voltage can supply 1mA.

On the other hand, Table 4-1 in IMX6DQ6SDLHDG Rev.1 says as following.

=====

According to table 13 of the chip data sheet, VDD_SNVS_IN can draw up to 1 mA depending on the application.

For those cases, an external regulator is needed because the PF0100 VSNVS regulator supplies 400 μA.

=====

According to this notes, i.MX6DQ consume 1mA not only when power-up but also when a application is runnning.

So we are confused by these description to understand when i.MX6DQ consume 1mA.

Would you let me know when i.MX6DQ VDD_SNVS_IN consumes 1mA what function in SNVS consume a lot of current to understand it?

This information will help us to judge whether MMPF0100A can be used for supply VDD_SNVS_IN or other LDO is required.

Best Regards,

Hi Satoshi

additional current when application is runnning may occur

in case described in Table 2-6  IMX6DQ6SDLHDG Rev.1

SNVS.jpg

that is when VDD_SNVS_IN > VDD_HIGH_IN && VDD_HIGH_IN > 2.4V (typ.)

and current associated with loads connected to PMIC_ON_REQ, PMIC_STBY_REQ outputs.

Best regards

igor

Hi Igor,

Thank you for your reply.

> that is when VDD_SNVS_IN > VDD_HIGH_IN && VDD_HIGH_IN > 4.5V (typ.)

Excuse me, what is 4.5V (typ.)? Is this typo of 2.4V (typ.)?
