Hi community,

Our partner have a question about i.MX6DL G2D API.

When use i.MX6DL G2D API, can we set the scaling ratio liberally?

Or is there some restriction?

(e.g. The scaling ration have to be a multiple or submultiple number of 2 (x2, x4, x1/2, 1/8, etc...))

Best Regards,

Satoshi Shimoda

Hi Satoshi,

yes one can choose any scaling ratio,  no restricitons.

Document i.MX_6_2D_API.pdf (included in Doc bundle on link below)

in sect.8.6 "Filter BLT" states:

"Filter blit performs high quality scaling, up or down, using an FIR re-sampling

filter with up to 9 taps. Sub-pixel coordinates (locations between the pixel grids)

are generated by the drawing engine.

..

A stretch- or shrink-factor of 15.16 fixed-point format is supported."
