What is state of video-decoding plugins and gstreamer-1.0?

Support for gstreamer-0.10 is dropped and there is no much sense in using it anymore, at least not for new project.

There are many news, fixes and general updates in gstreamer-1.0 that make it much better.

I have been working on precisely that. See the repository here: https://github.com/Freescale/gstreamer-imx

It will be moved to beta status in a few days.

Definitely it is in FSL pipeline to migrate to gstreamer 1.0,  our  development team it is working on it, and we will have it, but I not able to share with you an specific date. Please contact your Freescale Sales representative  or  FAE. He would be able to share with you more information regarding the migration to gstreamer 1.0

I strongly recommend looking at dv1 work as-is; embrace it and enhance it.

gst-1.0 has been already released quite a while and looks this is a great starting point.

His gst-1.0 was reported to work on numerous platform including SolidRun Carrier-1 and CuBox-i platforms.
