We would like to know the size limits for images processed by the boot-rom on I.mx6 processors.

The firmware page count value of the fcb table is expressed in pages of nand and is of size u32.  Can I interpret this as meaning that the boot-rom could be configured to fill up the entire 4 gb of ram on a theoretical board with content from nand?  Or does the boot rom have an inner limit on the size of the content is will process.

please consider the equivalent question asked for eMMC booting as well.

Hi eric

boot rom has not inner limits, size is defined by

parameter "length"  - Size of the program image

described in in sect.8.6.1.2 Boot Data Structure

i.MX6DQ RM

Best regards

igor
