Currently, NXP BSP for iMX processors (L5.4.3_2.X.X) is based on Weston 8.0.
There are some new features in Weston 9.0 that could be useful in embedded applications, for example the kiosk shell (https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Wayland-Weston-Kiosk-Shell).
Also, Debian Bullseye and Yocto Project (Gatesgarth) already moved to Weston 9.0.
Is there any plan to move the BSP to Weston 9.0?
