We are currently interfacing ADV7280M to i.MX6D processor.

The capture routines does not work properly. Scrolling and splited images are shown on LCD display.

After capturing YUV data from V4L2 interface and saving YUV data into the file, YUV viewer shows scrolling and splited images.

It seems that capture routines have the problems.

Please see the attached movies.

How to debug or fix the above problems?

The detailed informations are the followings.

1. CPU : i.MX6D
2. BSP : Linux-3.0.35
3. Camera Interface : MIPI CSI
4. Setting iInfo.
- IPU : 0, CSI : 1
- virtual channel : 1
5. S_INPUT : 1

I am also trying to interface the ADV7280-M with the i.MX6Q processor.

At the moment I get errors at the MIPI-CSI2 PHY link.

Did you need to make any mods to the i.MX6 MIPI-CSI2 driver?

I believe some settings may be tuned to the OV5640 camera.

  From internal discussion :

1. The adv7280 should be enabled after mipi_csi2_reset().

2. For MIPI CSI input, the clock mode in IPU_CSI_SENS_CONF must be gated clock mode.

          p->u.bt656.clock_curr = 1;

3. For interlaced input, IDMAC 0 should be set to interlaced mode: "params.csi_mem.interlaced = true;"
     For progressive input, IDMAC 0 shoudl be set to progressive mode: "params.csi_mem.interlaced = false;"

     case IPU_CSI_CLK_MODE_GATED_CLK: in file drivers\media\video\mxc\capture\ipu_csi_enc.c,
     function csi_enc_setup().

4. For device type:

     adv7280_data.sen.pix.priv = 1;  /* 1 is used to indicate TV in */
