Want to use nodejs 14 from nodejs 10 in yocto warrior bsp

Hi,

I am currently using yocto warrior bsp as my build system for i.mx6ull custom board.

In warrior, nodejs version 10 is running at sources/meta-openembedded/meta-oe/recipes-devtools

I want to use nodejs 14. I couldn't find yocto recipe for nodejs 14.

Is it possible to upgrade from nodejs 10 to nodejs 14 in yocto warrior ?

Hello,

I have backported the required recipes for building nodejs 14.18.1 in Yocto Warrior. Just copy the recipes to your desired layer and give them a try. I know they build, but I haven't been able to test them myself yet. Feel free to contribute if you identify potential improvements:

I didn't try this, but you can download the nodejs 14 and try to install in the warrior bsp, but I'm not sure if the warrior bsp is compatible with nodejs 14, or you can upgrade your bsp to the latest vesrion
