Vivante GPU driver and 4GB DDR

Hi all,

The Vivante GPU driver fails to initialize on a system with 4GB DDR. It prints a "AXI BUS ERROR" line in the kernel messages and then prints a number of various register/memory dumps.

The driver works normally on the same system if DDR size is limited to 3GB with the "mem=3072MiB" kernel parameter.

It is a known issue? Is there a fix/workaround?

Hello,

   It is a known issue that GPU driver doesn't support 4GB memory address range in GA release.

Now NXP is working to fix this issue. Please create request / ticket for more details.

The problem was fixed in L4.14.78-1.0.0-GA BSP.
