Using a iMx7 Sabre board and RGB888 works in UBoot but not linux.

Using a iMx7 Sabre board I have fitted an RGB888 display and adapted the connector to suit. UBoot works and displays the freecsale logo and a small amount of text onto the LCD display,

But Yocto / Linux does not. The display just goes black and nothing is displayed. If I plug and HDMI display in then Linux displays the GUI on the Monitor correctly.  The LCD remains blank.

What have I missed, I have readd many docs but I am struggling to understand what the problem is.

 what do you mean? when the board boot up, you can see the freescale logo and text, then go to black and nothing??

could you share the log file ? any error message ?
