Hi,

64 bit Unique ID in i.MX6 can be read using OCOTP_CFG0 and OCOTP_CFG1.

But what is the basis of this unique ID? Does it embed details like wafer number, batch number etc?

With regards to this, can we determine if OCOTP_CFG0 varies for all boards and OCOTP_CFG1 remains constant or vice versa?

Can we get details as to which bits of the 64 bit ID changes surely for all boards?

Hi @Kavita_r,

A Unique ID is a randomly generated number and used by the factory to identify SoC manufactured. And OCOTP_CFG0 and OCOTP_CFG1 are written by the manufacturer.
Finally, to be sure that it is unique is necessary to use the complete 64-bit word therefore there are no constant parts for Unique ID in OCOTP.

I hope this information will be helpful.

Have a great day.

Best regards, Brian.
