Unable to get an image using imxeglvivsink

Using,

gst-launch-1.0 autovideosink ! imxeglvivsink

results in

Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
ERROR: Pipeline doesn't want to pause.
Setting pipeline to NULL ...
Freeing pipeline ...

This seems to only occur when using imxeglvivsink. Does anyone know why that is?

Alternatively one can try nxp gstreamer plugins (imx-gst1.0-plugin)
