Unable to connect the JTAG to i.MX6 Quad processor

We are using i.MX6 Quad Processor in our design.  The boards are fabricated with i.MX6 processor. In the new boards we are unable to connect the J-Link JTAG (Segger). When we connect J-link JTAG, it is dipalying as message that Device is not connected at all" and it is not diplaying device id also.

For new processors is we need to program first anything before JTAG communication. Kindly clarify.
