USB Type C on IMX6UL

Is it possible to use a USB type C connector on IMX6UL processors?

Can someone help me in what would be the connection schematic?

Yes, you can use the tpye C on i.mx6ul, design you can refer to the i.MX8MM EVK boardhttps://www.nxp.com/webapp/sps/download/preDownload.jsp?render=true

Hi Alvaro,

It is possible to use Type C connector on iMX6ULL. But it will not be used as USB3.0/3.1. It will be used as USB 2.0 only.

Schematic Connections:

1. Pull-down CC1 and CC2 pin with 5.1K.
2. All the super speed transceiver lanes will be NC.
3. Connect DP and DM to i.MX6ULL processor.
4. Connect Vbus power to Vbus pin of the processor.
5. Kindly follow the IMX6ULLHDG guidelines for the de-cap.
6. Pull-up or pull-down the USB ID pin of processor based on required configuration (Host/Device).
