Test Procedure for TJA1100

Hi ,

I want to know the procedure to test the TJA1100.

My application is to read the current status of TJA1100 and send to diagnostics.

The Status to be read as follows

•       Link Status
•       PHY state
•       SNR values

When I try to read the current status of TJA1100. The Link status (Link Up) and PHY state (PHY Active) are always same. But the SNR values got varied when I connect and disconnect the PHY Link physically.
I am not aware what is actually the Link up and down in the datasheet, whether it is denoting the Physical status of PHY link or any internal status.

Could please anyone suggest me how to simulate these test scenarios.
