Hi,
Tell me how to enable the i.MX8M Quad's micro SD card slot.
I used to be able to read a micro SD card, but when I changed some settings from U-Boot,
I couldn't read it anymore.
Best regards,

Hello, TechSupport
Thank you for your reply.
I was able to write the Android image to the microSD safely.
The cause was that u_boot used setenv to set SDIO to the M.2 connector.
By setting the M.2 connector to PCIe, SDIO can now be returned to the SD Card slot and writable.
See "4.4.3 Enabling PCIe on M.2" in UM11483.
Thanks,

Good news it works well and thanks a lot for your kindly sharing.
Hello,
I wanted to try booting an Android that is written on the micro SD card, so I tried to flash the Android image along "Android Quick Start Guide".
[Android Quick Start Guide]
File Name: Android_Quick_Start_Guide.pdf
Document Number: AQSUG
Rev. O8.1.0_1.3.0_8M, 04/2018
But I couldn't flash the Android image to the micro SD card.
I did the work as described in "3.3 Flashing board images" in the Android Quick Start Guide.
- Copy only the specified 6 files into the specified directory.
- I'm using a 32GB microSD card, so copy partition-table-28GB.img and rename it to partition-table.img.
- SW802 can be set to 1: OFF and 2: ON.
- Power on the board.
- Connect to PC's USB 3.0 port with a USB type-c cable.
- Insert the micro SD card into the slot after turning on the board.
- I double-clicked the mfgtool2-android-mx8mq-evk-sd.vbs file and MFG Tool started.
I pressed the Start button here, but the tool got stuck in the attached PNG image.
Is the micro SD card not recognized?
Please tell me what is wrong or missing with the procedure.
Best Regards,
KojiTajima
Are you using NXP i.MX8MQ EVK board? Which version board are you using? B3,B4 or A1?
