TC358743 HDMI-CSI Bridge Driver for iMX8QM

Hello,

I found some TC358743 driver for IMX6 standartly deployed in particular kernel versions:

Is there any availbe driver for imx8 or can i use the same kernel menuconfig selections. I dont have the hardware yet so i couldnt test.

Any idea?

I am using Toradex Apalis IMX8QM and in this post their tech team said they had problem with it. 

Can i ask is it the same kernel driver?

We didn't test this driver before.

There is a board using this bridge chip from BD. (https://boundarydevices.com/product/bd_hdmi_mipi/). I think BD may have a porting guide or updated driver for your reference if you order this board.

Seems the original driver in the kernel is quite old and no update. I think you may need to modify it. You may search the  "TC358743" and "driver" in this community web site and in google. There are many people shared the experience about porting this chip.
