Support for Ancillary Data in BT.656 streams?

Is it possible to access ancillary BT.656 data from i.MX6 IPU APIs?

We have an i.MX6 with a working 8-bit BT.656 input, and the video decoder chip is capable of adding vertical blanking interval data such as closed captioning to the BT.656 ancillary data stream. We'd like to take advantage of this.

I can't find anything hinting at support in the i.MX6DQ reference manual, but I'm hoping I'm missing something.

I am afraid there is no way to get ancillary data using 8-bit BT.656 input,

seems it could be possible using generic input format.
