Support TI wl1837mod Wi-Fi module in Android 4.3_1.1.0 Kernel 3.0.35

We have a project to support TI wl1837mod Wi-Fi module in iMX6 board.

From linux-2.6-imx.git - Freescale i.MX Linux Tree , I only found TI wl1837mod exist from kernel 3.10.17, not exist in kernel 3.0.35.

Is it possible to port TI wl1837mod into kernel 3.0.35. And is there standalone driver for it?

Since in WL18xx First Time Getting Started Guide (IMX6) - Texas Instruments Wiki , I saw demo kernel is 3.10.53.

one can look at wl18xx porting in kernel 3.0.35 at

wl18xx and iMX6
