We are using the same/similar layout of the DDR3L memory topology as the IMX7 Hardware Reference Guide. Is it possible to simply remove one of these memories and only populate one memory without a board spin? If so, should the high or low byte address memory be removed?
Yes, you can do like that , and use the low byte address memory. And the performance of processor will decrease. Here recommend you to use the 32 bit DDR, so that the performance will be the highest.
