Should i modify the imx8mp-evk.dts in uboot or linux ?

May i know the dts file (imx8mp-evk.dts) should i modify it in uboot (arch/arm/dts/) or linux (arch/arm64/boot/dts/freescale/) ?

Why have 2 dts files in different part ? (can briefly explain? ) Thanks.

You can modify them. One is for the u-boot , and anther is for the kernel.
