Same content on LCD as on LVDS

Hello,

We have a custom board (imx6q) on which one time a LVDS panel is connected, and another time an lcd panel. These are connected on the same IPU - DI. I thought it was going to be as simple as just configure the LDB-bridge, as this is actually bridging the LCD output towards LVDS, so the image would also be on the IPU-DI pins, but this seems not be te case.

How can I easily bridge those 2 together without using seperate devicetrees or special boot arguments?

I'm on linux-imx 5.4 right now...

i.mx6q has two IPUs and each IPU has two DIs,  why do you connect lvds and lcd in the same IPU-DI, try to connect lvds and lcd to the different IPU or different DI in the same IPU

But how do I get them to have the same content? Without influencing performance of the cpu/gpu?

Will connecting them to different ipu/di's not have influence on the performance? Having to render everything twice?
