SPI 9-bit mode U-boot for imx6sl

Hi,

I am trying to initialize an SPI device from u-boot.

I have setup ecspi3 pin mux pad definitions and initial directions and states.

What I am looking for is an example of how to perform 9-bit writes to a device from within u-boot. Does anyone have an example or can someone point me in the right direction please?
