[SOLVED] IMX6UL Duplicate OPP Detected

Hi All,

I'm getting a number of 'duplicate OPPs detected' warning messages during Linux boot. I am working on a custom IMX6UL board and started seeing this issue after upgrading from mainline kernel 4.14 to 4.19 from https://github.com/Freescale/linux-fslc. I tried the new kernel on another custom board based on IMX6 Solo and don't see the issue on it. I did a bit of digging and it seems like the function imx6q_cpufreq_probe in imx6q-cpufreq.c is being called multiple times on the IMX6UL based board but I can't figure out why this is.

Below is the boot log - the sections I'm referring to are in bold:

Hi Igor,

Thank you for your response.

I tried it with NXP official kernel L4.19.35.1.1.0 and I'm still seeing the same issue.

Hi Daniel

could you try to reproduce issue on i.MX6UL EVK reference board

with Demo Image

Linux Binary Demo Files - i.MX 6UltraLite, i.MX 6ULL, i.MX 7Dual

Best regards

Unfortunately, I don't have an i.MX6UL EVK with me.

Hi Daniel

one can test with nxp offiical kernels from source.codeaurora.org/external/imx/linux-imx  repository
linux-imx - i.MX Linux kernel
Linux  documentation

i.MX Software and Development Tools | NXP

Difference between it and mainline and fslc kernels is described on

difference between Yocto Community BSP and Freescale BSP Release

Since nxp does not support other kernels, issue may be posted on

meta-fsl-arm mailing list

meta-freescale@lists.yoctoproject.org | Home

Best regards
igor
