Cannot see any reference in iMX8 UG to SDPS, SDP still there.

What is the actual difference ..?

UUU help traces/messages are kind of cryptic on this:

What is "stream download.." here ..?  Is "boot" the only command supported here ..?

Where does SDPS come from?

in the uuu script, you can find

# This command will be run when i.MX6/7 i.MX8MM, i.MX8MQ
SDP: boot -f _flash.bin

# This command will be run when ROM support stream mode
# i.MX8QXP, i.MX8QM
SDPS: boot -f _flash.bin

refer to the uuu document

Support SDP protocol (i.MX6x, i.MX7, i.MX8M, i.MX8MM)
Support SDPS protocol (i.MX8QXP B0, i.MX8QM B0)

Thank you for replying, but:

Support SDP protocol (i.MX6x, i.MX7, i.MX8M, i.MX8MM)
Support SDPS protocol (i.MX8QXP B0, i.MX8QM B0)

What does this say about how the protocols differ .. ?  Is the difference only that the Same protocol is called SDPS on iMX8 ?

Why I do not see any SDPS reference in the User Guide for iMX8 ? There is still SDP I see.

Is SDPS a UUU variant of SDP ..?

Thank you,

seems like they identical, perhaps some fix in uuu was done for difference in SDS between the ROM code of the respective SOCs ...  Speculating.
